During these early stages of our company, our focus has been strongly on the developer experience. Your everyday life as a Senior Frontend Developer at Fondion and why we’re looking for you

Here’s a bit of info about the background: Our SaaS product holds critical financial data for easier decision-making for businesses, so for that reason, we have built high-quality code. Our product business, founded in 2020 with strong specs and industry insight, now has 100+ construction industry customers but aims for sector-independence. 

We are constantly receiving ideas from customers that love our product – and to develop our product for the changing world, including the green transition in construction, we need to strengthen our developer team!

And this is where you enter the game!  We are looking for your expertise and vision to take over our frontend development and taking the ideas into practice. You would be the first Senior Frontend Developer in our experienced team now consisting of our Tech Lead Kimi, five developers and a designer. You'd join us to take care of creating production grade and easy-to-use software with sufficient level of automated tests.

Your tasks include new, more complex features, for which there is no ready-made library, but a custom implementation is expected.

We admire easy-to-use solutions. Our tech stack was chosen in our early days, but it has served us well and given us opportunities to create nice solutions for our customers.You might be the most interested in our front-end tools Typescript, React and Material UI. The backend is built with Python, FastAPI with mypy, and the whole thing is running on AWS built with Terraform. We have some technical debt, but it has been pretty well identified and refactored as part of feature development, but also via separate maintenance epics.

You might be interested to know that we focus strongly on developer experience. We have adopted Trunk Based Development model and our goal is to have a cycle time between 2 to 4 days (starting from implementation until deployed to production). This requires smooth processes and tools. So far, our team has been enjoying our development practices and you would be part of developing them even further!

Our engineering team's attitude is that "well, someone has done it that way before, but now we will do it this way!" This means, that you don't have to be rooted in legacy, but you can edit and build new.

In this role, the salary ranges between EUR 6,5-7€K / month.

We believe you will fit the role well if:

  • You are ready to work in the role of a Senior Frontend Developer, who understands product development and our tech stack, and has an eye for the user interface and usability 
  • Now you might be working at a SaaS, consultancy or in a bigger company as an in-house professional. In this role, you’ll get a chance to jump to a smaller but growing company and learn a lot while taking our product to the next level.
  • You are ready to guide and support your team in a proactive and trusted senior role.
